• Consultation
To begin the process of your garden
development, a no-obligation meeting will need to be scheduled with Jay.
At this interactive meeting at your home, Jay will establish your goals
and desires for your property. He will state his opinions and give
further suggestions to compliment the garden. If a design is required,
an agreement will be drawn up to proceed to the next stage.
• Landscape Design
After a thorough site analysis and
inventory of notes and photographs is gathered, a base plan is drawn up
and a series of concept plans are developed. A concept presentation will
be scheduled to look at different layout possibilities, material
selection and discuss any revisions. After this meeting, a Preliminary
Master Plan will be developed along with an itemized quote and a
detailed plant booklet, which will be presented to you. |

• Landscape Construction When the necessary changes have been made to accommodate your budget,
and an agreement to continue with construction has been fulfilled, your
dreams become reality. By using a hand-picked, qualified and
professional construction crew, pride of workmanship is evident. Though
the building process is not so subtle, tidiness and professional conduct
are standard throughout. During construction, minor changes tend to
occur to produce a more appealing outcome. These are normal and
suggested because a quality design is always under revision. |

• Garden Maintenance
Just like a vehicle, if a brand new garden
is not fully maintained there will be a decrease in its quality.
Although a maintenance free garden would be nice – it simply does not
exist. The first year is crucial for plant establishment. Proper
watering and fertilizing is necessary to guarantee success. In today’s
society, there are not enough hours in the day to cover the day’s to-do
list. Jay McKinnon Company can relieve some of your time needed
elsewhere by managing your gardens. Whether it is a spring and fall
cleanup or a regular commitment throughout the year, we can give you
more hours. |
